Request a fixed IP address

As standard, Netscalibur Dialup accounts are given a dynamic IP address. This is the most efficient way to connect you to the Internet and allows our core network to route your data as quickly as possible.

In very rare circumstances you may have a requirement for a fixed IP, for example perhaps you need to connect through a firewall into your company network. We can accommodate fixed IPs on accounts where it is critical that you keep the same IP number, unless this is vital we suggest you do not request it as it can provide small deficiencies to your connection speeds.

Note that a fixed IP is only available on standard TCP accounts (it is not available on time charged or low usage accounts).

If you do require a Fixed IP address attached to your account please complete the details below. There is a one-off £15 registration fee (plus VAT) for adding the Fixed IP address which will be added to your account billing automatically.

The Fixed IP address only remains valid while the account which it is attached to remains open. You will have to login to this account to benefit from a Fixed IP address. If you want a Fixed IP address added to more than one account you will need to submit this request for each account separately.

Adding Fixed IP addresses normally takes 48 hours and you will be contacted via email once the IP address has been added.

With a Fixed IP address you can choose to pick up email for your account using SMTP instead of the default system of POP3. If you wish to change to SMTP mail collection please indicate below.
